Dr. Alyssa Salava graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in Exercise Science and continued her education at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, earning her Doctorate of Chiropractic.
While attending school Dr. Salava fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and all of the adventures it has to offer. When she wasn’t in class (or studying) she would be running, hiking, skiing, climbing and teaching yoga and spinning classes. She even took a summer off and hiked from Northern California to Canada on the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail).
Dr. Salava has a deep understanding when it comes to treating sports injuries with a special focus in running. She has been running competitively for many years and ran collegiately for her university. When treating patients, she pays attention to the fine details; she assesses their movement patterns and gives them home care to treat their dysfunctions or imbalances. This allows her patients to recover faster and to get back to the activities that they love.
She also has a very special interest in pediatric and pregnancy care. She is certified in The Webster Technique, has attended special pediatric adjusting seminars and is currently studying the art of Craniosacral Therapy. She was also very fortunate to study under Dr. Brandi Kuhn, deepening her knowledge and skills for this special population.
Dr. Salava is very excited to share her knowledge and expertise with you, guiding you towards the best you can be.
